There are many types of waste disposal units available for the domestic market, some of the brands we repair and install here at Tony Deary Repairs are : Maxmatic // Tweeney // In sink Erator // and Wastemaid.
The most common waste disposal units are batch feed and Continuous feed.
Whats the difference between batch feed and continuous feed.?
Batch feed units generally have a stop start switch in the work top or a magnetic plug. They break the food down to a pulp [like baby food] therefor the risk of a blocked drain is reduced.
Continuous feed units use a 13 amp switch spur switch on the wall or under the sink to start the unit. although there are push button air start switches available on the market to make starting the unit easier. With a continuous feed unit the waste food is broken down to like [bean shoots] if you don’t use plenty of water they can block the drain. We can call out quickly to deal with your faulty waste disposal unit.
Common faults are: blocked units not draining, dead units [cheak reset switch] leaking pipework.
Prices: Repairs to all brands of waste disposal units are charged at £89 plus parts. Installations of all waste disposal unit are charge at £89 per hour plus parts. We offer a 12 months guarantee on all parts used with proof of receipt.
