Do you repair all types of kitchen appliances?
I repair most major domestic kitchen appliances, including washing machines, dishwashers, tumble dryers, fridge freezers, electric ovens, electric hobs and cooker hoods. I also carry out installation work for many built-in and freestanding appliances. Gas appliances are not repaired.
Which areas do you cover?
I'm based in Bromley and regularly cover Beckenham, West Wickham, Orpington, Chislehurst and surrounding parts of South East London and Kent. If you're unsure whether I cover your area, just call or message me.
When are repair appointments available?
Repair appointments are carried out Monday to Friday, between 8am and 1pm, subject to availability. I'll offer you the next suitable appointment and confirm the arrangements before your visit.
How much does an appliance repair cost?
I operate a fixed-fee labour charge ranging from £99 to £179, depending on the type of appliance, whether it is freestanding or built-in, and the manufacturer or brand.
This fixed labour charge includes the initial visit, fault diagnosis and repair labour. If replacement parts are required, the labour charge also covers a return visit to fit those parts for the same repair.
There is no additional labour charge for the return visit. You only pay separately for replacement parts and any applicable postage costs. All costs are explained before proceeding.
Do you charge a separate call-out fee?
No separate call-out fee is added. Attendance, diagnosis and repair labour are included in my fixed labour charge, starting from £99. If I need to return to fit parts supplied by me for the same repair, there is no additional labour charge.
Why is there a £45 booking deposit?
A £45 booking deposit is required to secure your repair appointment. This confirms your booking and reserves time specifically for your visit.
The £45 is not an additional charge. It is deducted from your fixed labour charge, with the remaining balance payable when the initial visit is carried out. Any replacement parts and applicable postage costs are charged separately.
The booking deposit must be paid within 2 hours of receiving the payment request to secure the appointment. Unpaid booking requests may be cancelled after this period.
If you need to rearrange your appointment, please give at least 24 hours' notice and your deposit will be carried forward to the new appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will result in the deposit being forfeited.
Are Repairs Guaranteed?
Yes. All replacement parts supplied and fitted by me come with a 12-month parts-only guarantee.
This guarantee covers the replacement parts only and does not include a separate labour warranty. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Do you work with landlords and letting agents?
Yes. I regularly carry out appliance repairs and replacements for landlords, letting agents and property managers across Bromley and surrounding areas. For tenanted properties, the applicable labour charge is payable in advance.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment can be made by cash, bank transfer or debit/credit card. A secure card reader is carried for convenient payment on completion, and secure payment links are also available.
Can I Supply My Own Replacement Parts?
Yes, although I must first diagnose the appliance and confirm that the replacement part is suitable.
If you supply your own replacement part, an additional £50 fitting fee applies on top of the normal fixed labour charge.
My fixed labour charge includes a return visit to fit parts supplied by me, without any additional labour charge.
Please note that my 12-month parts guarantee applies only to replacement parts supplied by me. Customer-supplied parts are not covered by my parts guarantee.
