The new oven must suit the existing electrical supply
Two ovens that look almost identical can have different power ratings and connection requirements. Before agreeing to fit the replacement I check the model information and existing circuit arrangements. If the wiring or protective devices are unsuitable, the relevant electrical work must be resolved by an appropriately qualified electrician before installation.
What I Check During Your Installation
- Review the oven model, power rating and installation instructions
- Check housing dimensions, support and ventilation
- Assess suitability of the existing isolator and electrical connection
- Remove and replace the oven where safe to do so
- Secure the appliance and check applicable oven and grill functions
Helpful advice before buying: Send a photograph of the rating label or model number of the replacement oven and, if possible, the existing cooker connection or switched spur. It helps identify unsuitable supplies early.
